Talk Is Cheap
It’s event season at The Centre for Creative Communications. A special unconference organized by faculty member Gary Schlee and funded by the Toronto chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators attracted 160 communicators on November 15.
The evening boasted 14 sessions, many of them presented by senior PR practitioners, some of them presented by Centennial grads. A group of 15 current students — including Rayanne Langdon and Joe Chawla at Registration — helped run the event. Check it out at the Talk Is Cheap wiki. Photo by Alana DaSilva.
Chips 4 Charity
Students in the Event Management class are also starting to roll out their events. The first is Chips 4 Charity, a night of games of chance and a silent auction at Whistler’s Grille on Wednesday evening, November 21. Additional information can be found to the left. Six more events will be happening over the next three weeks — everything from a murder mystery dinner to a gay speed dating event. We’ll let you know more about them soon.
